Michelle Kamine

My path into real estate development and design wasn’t particularly traditional, but looking back, it makes perfect sense.

I graduated from Lafayette College in 2004 with a degree in Psychology and began my career in New York City, running marketing departments for several start-up companies. After a few years in corporate life, I left to work for myself—starting a record label and developing an artist while also earning my New York real estate license and selling apartments.

​

Surrounded by creative people, I realized I was most drawn to the creative side of real estate: architecture, design, and the process of transforming a property into something special.

While living in New York for 13 years, I began buying and redesigning apartments for myself, which completely hooked me on making this a profession. 

​

My lifelong involvement in the equestrian world also brought me to Wellington, Florida, where I began spending winters while still living in New York. In 2015, I sold my last NYC apartment and purchased a house in Florida in need of a complete renovation, with the intention of eventually selling it. That first renovation project officially launched MHK Real Estate.

Since founding MHK, I’ve developed, renovated, and designed homes across Florida, New York, New Jersey, Park City, and now Bucks County, Pennsylvania. My work has included ground-up construction, full-scale renovations, spec and custom homes, apartments, historic properties, and interior design, with more than $35 million in my own projects sold to date.

My approach is rooted in creating homes that feel authentic to their architecture and setting. I’m drawn to natural materials, craftsmanship, and spaces that feel warm, individual, and collected rather than overly designed. Whether a home is new or more than 200 years old, I believe good design begins with understanding what makes it special—and preserving that character while making it work beautifully for the way people live today.

I completed my Interior Design Certification through the New York Institute of Art and Design to further expand the design side of my work. I’m also an artist, with my work at galleries in NYC and many pieces incorporated into my residential projects.

More than a decade into MHK Real Estate, I continue to be inspired by great architecture, interesting properties, talented craftspeople, and the opportunity to create homes with a genuine sense of place and individuality.
